So we made it. We’re a Norcal family.
Let me just say that the help we got in Long Beach was beyond extraordinary. The moving boxes that Nick provided, the inexplicable Tetris skills that Ken brought to the table, our neighbors Jeremy & Jessica pitching in, plus help from Jo’s parents, Kevin, Aaron & Shannon, Jason, Jon & Nat, Jeff & Meg, Nathan, James & Kelly, and generosity from Tom & Meredith, Todd & Sarah, & Kurt… totally mind-blowing. I think I helped lift like two items into the truck. Everyone else did the rest (a million times better than I could have).
Then we got up to Santa Rosa and my parents helped us get set up in the new place, along with Cody driving up from SF.
All this to say… An enormous thank you! to everyone who helped out. It was sad to leave Long Beach, but we’re so excited to see what’s in store for us here in wine country… hopefully more than just wine.
And thanks to Jon for coming over and being our first SR pal. See, Jon? There are people our age in SR: us.
